The JK Game
I just drove from Houston to Tampa, sadly not in my JK. But for fun, we counted the number of JK's we saw on the way (dealer lots don't count).
We saw 22.
16 of them four door JK's.
Although I didn't officially keep track, I think red rock was the most frequent color spotted. I saw maybe three rescue green, a couple jeep green, a few silver, one or two flame red. I don't think I saw any white though.
And I didn't see any that had half doors.

I see more and more each day. Just like we used to play "beetle" for VWs seen on the road, my little ones now play "Jeep". More points are given for 4drs (and even more for tops down and doors off). They rarely miss a Jeep that goes by..
This past Friday we were in a suburb of DC and saw 4, 4 doors in a 10 min span ...

No, because the game is not limited to just JK's. It is all Wranglers (really hard for kids to be capable of determining if that short wheel base Jeep they are driving by is a JK
).
So if you consider the large amount of short wheel base Wranglers on the road in comparison to the amount of long wheel base Wranglers, then the Unlimited is more of a rarity

I play the JK game with my wife. I've had to do some coaching with her so that she can tell a JK from a TJ.
My daughter is 2, she doesn't play. But she does get excited when she sees a picture of a jeep. I'm getting her trained up right.

I thought about adding in extra for CJ vs YJ vs TJ vs JK but for the little ones its too much. And we include all Jeeps (as we should). The key is 2 dr vs 4 dr and then top down, doors off, pulling a boat or camper. So 1 pt for a 2 dr, 2 pt for a 4 dr (sorry), extra point each for top down, doors off, and pulling a trailer (we have a small popup and a small boat - so it matters...). And I like the idea of counting Jeep dealerships on a trip, although naturally the Jeeps on the lot can't count in the normal game. I thought about extra points for Jeeps we pass where the driver waves... not too much of that happening around DC... but we're trying...
oh, my little one would call "...a yellow half 2 door Rubicon with no top on..." really cool... but it would still get two points...

Shouldn't the Unlimiteds be less points since they're more common.
