Maybe because normal people don't drag race Wranglers, or everyone is going green. Truth is that the 3.6L is a great compromise between power and economy.
I owned a 2010 with the 3.8 and could really desire the V8 swap but now that I have a 2012, I don't even need more power for my driving style.

I believe the majority of the drivers feel the same way.

The warranty costs for replacing axles would be too high.

Another excuse I'd read on the interwebs is that they sell so many Wranglers that they don't feel the need to add another engine option. I also think CAFE maybe a part of the reason.

If that were the case then we wouldnt have alot of these idiots with Shelby Cobras or Camaro's w/ the LZ1 (no offense to anybody if they own either of these vehicles)....dangerous ppl on the roads as well....

I drive my Hemi Rubicon all over the place. It gets 17 mpg in the city WITH 37's!

Thats not a huge drop....you are just speculating.....and the GC and Durango weigh more.

I see no reason why Jeep doesn't have a Hemi option for the 4 doors anyway.
