JK or JKU? 2011 or 2012?

If your looking for a JK to Build for off road use mainly I would go with the 2dr. Much more manuverable off road. I chose it for that reason too. Although it is my daily driver right now i know it will not always be. If you have kids and need the four door then its an easy decision.
I also chose the 2dr cuz Im in upstate NY and the weather changes with the wind and i want to be able to use the top down as much as possible and I figured the 2dr would be the easiest for up and down all the time.
This is not an easy decision, and I struggled with it myself when shopping.
Oh and I might get beat up for saying this but I think the four doors look silly with all four doors off, not reallly sure why.

Yeah its a descision that I'm going to think long and hard about before I make it. I've heard several people say they with they had bought a JKU after buying a JK but I haven't heard anyone say they wish they had gotten the 2 dr. after buying a 4 dr. Is there any cases like that out there? If so please explain.

Does anyone out there have any regrets about purchasing a JKU and wish they had bought the 2 door instead? If so what problems have you run into?

Yeah we have both models at work and that is the only real difference I have noticed between the 2. Granted I haven't really done alot of technical trails in them (don't want to have to pay for something I broke on a work vehicle would rather wait until I have my own..haha). But I have been on minor to moderatly technical trails, 12-18" obsticles, and haven't had any issues in the JKU that would have been over come in teh smaller 2 door. If I do go with the JKU I'll just make sure to invest in a good set of rock rails and additional skids..
