Are any of you having this issue with your rear bumpers. Somthing is dripping down from my tire or tire carrier and dripping down the rear bumper its brown and really hard to wash off the bumper even with bug and tar remover, doesn't always completely come off...I took off my wheel/tire and washed it all thinking it was just dirt and grim from the tire or maybe tire shine but thats not it...I can't figure out what it is but it is staining the mineral grey partof my bumper...

 

My best guess would be armorall

 

its annoying as hell, ive tried wiping all the tire shine the dealer put on the new tires off, it still drips down, it's ruining my bumper

 

It could be rust. This happens to mine after I wash it. Water gets into a non-sealed part of my trail rack and rusty water drips out when I am on the road.

 

Maybe from behind stock tire carrier?

 

maybe this weekend ill take the wheel off again, take the carrier off, and see whats going on (doesn't look like rust to me) but I'll have to see, the car did sit on the lot forever before I bought it...

 

My Mountain has the same symptoms. I thought it was just Armorall dripping from the tire. I guess I need to look more closely. I hope its not rust.

I dont know what the dealer uses, but it doesnt seem to be Armor-All. I noticed the same stains on my bumper cover, but have also noticed that the green valve stem caps (yes, my dealer drank the "nitrogen in the tires" kool-aide) have become sticky. Whatever tire treatment they used initially, it has turned those caps "gummy" feeling also. i just washed everything real good, and the tire doesnt drip anything anymore. I also rotated the tires at the first oil change also.....

 

maybe all jeeps do and u just cant see it on the black bumpers? I legit have to wipe it off everyday it rains or gets moist? and have a spot where it is stained already
