Default JK Rust Prevent

Hello everyone, I want to prevent the possibility of rust on my JK in the future. I plan on keeping my JK forever! I understand the rear view mirrors need to be drilled out to provide drainage. Is there any other suggestions to help prevent rust in the future?

Check out Ziebart.com I am a little biased since i work there, but they do offer the best rust protection and warranties. It also works as a sound deadener. Car Guard does a decent job of protecting the bottom of the vehicle, but when fording rivers and such you will get mud inside the doors. Car guard does not do a very good job of spraying upper panels. You can also buy cheap spray can undercoating at your local auto parts stores but the amount of time and $ youd spend really isnt worth it. Plus youd make a huge mess Hope this helps!

You can get it TSP'ed. The dealers offer it for about 6-700, only that covers the outside, underneath, and inside. I am having my family's shop just do the exterior ($300). Its basically a clear "teflon" coating. You can actually put lighter fluid on the paint and light it. Absolutley zero paint fading.

Well, yea, I can put lighter fluid in my hand and light it...
I was just giving it as an example. My cousin did it to a customers car just after it had cured. It doesn't matter to me what you use... However, I know of vehicles with this product years after it has been applied and the paint still looks brand new. Just my $.02

Didn't someone on the forum have a nightmare install from this stuff? Can't remember if it was Ziebart dealer or not. Maybe not
