Default Jk sagging in front from bumper/winch

Hello, I recently installed a winch onto my warn bumper. I've noticed that it has sagged a bit. Any suggestion on how to level out? Maybe a stiffer spring

Add a spacer. Cheapest way to go.

After adding a new bumper and winch I had the same problem. I solved it by replacing the original "14" front springs with "18"s.

Add a bigger bumper in the rear?

X2... Depending how much sag, 1/2" to 1" spring spacer will do the trick.

No big deal. You can stack spacers on the front.

Simply stacking additional spacers may cause more issues than what you have now. Usually lifts over 2.5/3" will cause suspension geometry problems. You may need to add adjustable control arms ect. ect..

My 2.5" AEV ended up at 3" which caused a failed front driveshaft.

Not really. If the bumper sagged 1/2" and you stack in a 1/2" spacer the vehicle is sitting at the same previous height having no impact on driveshaft or geometry. As long as the op doesn't add longer shocks or increase the height beyond the amount of sag he will be fine.

I had a 2" AEV bb on my jk before coilovers. The front consisted of a factory rubber spacer and the new spacer stacked. The rear was a completely new spacer.

Are you in a two-door or a four-door?

If you are in a two-door and you were good with the handling with the budget boost, then I would say stay don't add more spacers.

To explain: the budget boost is a simple block on top of stock springs, so you can think of it as having stock springs. I would say the best thing to do (if you are in a two-door) would be to swap out your stock springs with stiffer stock springs, and put your BB back in with the stiffer stock springs. It should be pretty easy, through eBay or Craig's list or Facebook to get your hands on some stiffer springs, I got mine from a guy in Facebook for $40.

Jumping up about 4 digits would do the trick. Say from 14's to 18's. That's what I did on mine and it brought me back up to stock height after adding the bumper and winch.

If you are in a four-door, then this isn't an option and you will likely just have to add another spacer.

Hope this helps.

Happy Jeeping!
