Either that or he may be referring to those cars that run those big aftermarket import mufflers that resemble large coffee cans.

I've occasionally hit 160kph (100mph) here in Dubai, I'll often drive up to 140kph down the main highway if traffic allows. Of course, I'm in a 2-dr, the 2's can really move!

Of course, in Dubai the world's fastest drivers meet the world's slowest drivers, if you don't pick up the pace a bit you get stuck with the trucks and labourer buses, and you gotta move fast enough to avoid the kamikaze minibuses.

...also I quite like going fast. It certainly helps that the police don't care if you're speeding, they wait for you to be caught by speed cameras. I've seen land cruisers zooming by at 160+, tailgating, darting from lane to lane to get through traffic, past police who did nothing.

Dubai Police are just there to assign blame in traffic accidents, and give people fines and black points for 'light vehicle lane discipline'.

As for JK speed, 70-75 is my max cruising on the highway. We have some highways here that the speed limit is 75, which of course means people are moving much faster. You can bet I'm never in the left lane on those

I didn't know they could even do 90mph especially lifted with bigger tires.

My 3.8l with a 6 speed and 4.10s will hit 100 without pushing it too hard. Even here at 5400+ feet and propelling a heavy 4 door Rubicon with all the options. I don't do it very often and only for a second when I'm passing someone, but it'll do it.
Yes, I know I drive way too fast and need to drive slower. I don't normally drive over 80 mph.

I do have a flashpaq and CAI so that helps out a little...

Yeah, I agree with those who say anything over 75mph is just too fast for the JK. The brakes are severely undersized, and the high speed handling characteristics are poor.

Most definitely under 75.
