Just out of curiousity what market are they strong in? I came from the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee world and it didn't seem like they were very strong there either. Are they more of a truck company?

Yes BDS is more known in the truck market...not so much in the Jeep world. However, I know a bunch of hardcore TJ guys that swear by their kits.

I've got to think the JKS partnership will be good for both parties

They take shortcuts and mimic otter manufactures instead of being innovators (ie JKS, Metal Cloak)

Agreed. I have had BDS lifts on my last two JKs and am extremely pleased with their products. Their "no fine print warranty" is excellent. I think most people steer away from them because their products are vendor locked, meaning you can't just buy them from any online store. Their products have to be shipped to an authorized dealer. This doesn't mean you can't install them yourself however. I have installed all my lifts myself without any issues with that fact effecting their warranty. Their modular design in their lifts also makes it nice to be able to start with the minimums necessary for the amount of lift you want and then being able to add on more intricate parts (adjustable CAs, track bars, etc.) as your wallet allows.

Care to expand on the "shortcuts" you speak of?

Look at their products and ask yourself where have you have seen that design before.

Best lift I had on JKU was a BDS 3", USA made, original owner lifetime replacement guarantee, the same BDS lift will eventually go on my 2013.

X2!!! Had the same BDS 3" lift on my 2011 JK and just installed the BDS 3" on my 2013 JKU. Wouldn't install anything else.

Sounds like 99% of the products on the market today. There are only so many ways to lift a vehicle.
