What brand and size lift would you suggest?

How is the safety factor with my new baby riding in the jeep???
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on being a new parent!
Having gone through the same as you this time last year (JK was Fathers Day gift)
I can say that it is GREAT! So here are my answers to your questions.

1. Family vehicle, obviously has its limitations for cargo when traveling any long distance with a new baby, babies take up lots of room because if you go anywhere for more than a few days you need to bring lots of stuff!! Generally speaking I never pack too high as to avoid anything coming over the back seat in the event of a quick stop or accident.

2. Lift.....I went 2.5" Teraflex BB w/shocks as to make it handle well on road as a daily driver and not make it too much of a pain for my wife to get our son strapped into his car seat, which is in the middle because its the safest seat in the JK! Now that he is almost two, he can actually pull himself up into the Jeep...was pretty amazing to see the first time!

3. Safety, lifted Jeep, baby seat in middle of a vehicle with a roll bar.....that's pretty damn safe. Get a Ultd, as a 2dr just would not be the best option with a child. Good luck and post when you get yours modded!!

For the most part. got some 3/4 in spacers in the front to get the front end up due to the bumper. Other than that suspension and tires stock.

I am a father of one little 8 month old and I think my 2 door is an awesome family car, let alone a JKU. The little baby loves wind in her hair and the top down so she actually falls asleep when we're open topped and on the highway (That's my girl! ). I drive like a grandpa anyway so I doubt I'll get into any trouble on my own. I am extra careful at intersections cause I know a front end collision is probably the only one my 2dr can survive.

I'm secretly hoping my wife's Daimler built Commander will croak someday so I can get her a JKU as a family car. A 2dr and 4dr in the same family would ROCK

My wife let me sell the suburban cause I told her I could get a third row put into a JKU.
