That is completely crazy. I have always had a stick. I went and drove the 09 stick unl. and ended up getting 09 auto unl. I need to try this again. Is it possible it was a bad manual tranny at the dealer? I swear after driving it I had thought Chrysler had lost their mind.

Maybe its from the TJ days before they had a 4spd, maybe its just me, but I swore I'd never have an auto in a Jeep. I got the stick.

IMO, the only thing worse than a Jeep with an auto is a sports care with an auto. Course, that's a personal preference.

I have both an 07 and an 08 wrangler unlimited 4 dr, the 07 is an auto and the wife drive that one, when we commute around town with the kid we take hers and of course i drive and i immediatly miss having the control i get with the 6 speed. i love both, but if i was to pick one its gotta be a 6 speed

Which is proven more efficient than either of the other choices. Paddle shifters on a Jeep, that might be kind of odd.
