Just pulled the trigger on a 2012
Ok after my bad experience at Ourisman Jeep in Clarksville MD, I decided to try another dealer. Went to Darcars Jeep in Silver Spring MD. They gave me what I wanted for my trade, and came in at 2% below invoice for a new 2012 JKU Rubicon. Plus, I got to get exactly what I wanted since we ordered it from the factory. I should have my 2012 in 8-12 weeks. Factory is slow right now for JKU Rubicon.
I just bought a 2012 VW GTI from Ourisman in Laurel MD, and I thought that was a great car buying experience. This was even better/easier. I went to Darcars last night, and they came close to what I wanted for my trade (2011 JKU Rubicon). They didn't have any JKUR on the lot that I was interested in. So the salesperson suggested the factory order process. He said for me to build one on Jeep site, and send it to him and they will give me a good price. So I did. They initially came in 1.5% under invoice but we finally settled on 2% under invoice. And they came up to what I wanted for my trade.
I spent a total of about 2 hours there yesterday, and not even an hour tonight to do the final negotiation and place the order. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new Jeep.
Anyway, 8-12 weeks give me plenty of time to return my Jeep back to stock. Can't wait for the 2012. Woot!

Congratulations man!
However down here, they're going for as low as 10% below advertised*non hold back* invoice on the 2012's; possibly they were in your area as well and just bumped up your trade allowance.
I like it better when they grow a pair and just show me the amount to be financed, term and my APR; haggling is much easier since that's the end game goal anyway.
