Just traded my 04 Rubi TJ for a 07 Rubi JK. Hadn't really planned on it. I was about to drop some serious coin for some mods (6" Nth LA, Nitto Mud Grapplers, axles/gears, etc), and thought to myself that I should check out the JK's before I did, wellll, ended up with one today. It is still at the dealer getting a FT 3" Ultimate suspension and 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers (will post pics as soon as I get it). I don't plan on regearing just yet (maybe within the year) and I think the rear axle will be fine, but the front might not take those 35's for too long.

 

Hey pulmano1, welcome to JK-Forum and congradulations on your new Rubi. As far as your axles go, the new Rubi D44's are beefier than the the old TJ's and I really think you'll be just fine with it and the front is a D44 too so I would think you'd be good there as well. Of course, once they are available, I'm sure a set of chromoly shafts would be all that you need to really do the trick

 

Yeah, will probably wait till I break one. I really need some armor. Do you have any suggestions? Also Airock is going to have a kit for JK's in the near future and that is what I really want, besides bumpers, gears, winch, etc
