purchased a congo cage and basket for my jk 4 door from 4wd hardware. i noticed a heading in the instructions about possible wind noise.well, i got wind noise now. called kargo master and was told basically yea, we know and for another $70.00 we will ship you an air deflector! after already spending 0ver $700.00 for the racks i was quite pi**ed.i am not spending another dime on this rack.if they knew there is a problem, ( obviously since the make a fix for it ) they should tell you up front about the wind noise. i probably would not have installed it and found another option. 4 wd was no help either. told them i would like to return the racks and was told since it was installed i would have to ship it back to kargo master in california.thanks to all the help from kargo master and 4wd i will not be purchasing from either in the future.

 

With any rack, especially one without a deflector, you are going to get wind noise. Ok, who am I kidding, even with a deflector you are going to get some wind noise.

Kind of part of having a rack, they have wind noise. Probably need to suck it up and buy the deflector, not sure how much they help, had one of the plastic ones on a sunroof and it made a lot of difference. Good luck.

This could present a problem in the future if you don't get used to some noises now...

Jeeps rattle, make noise and leak. But they are awesome.
