If I was ONLY going to wheel my JK, then I'd prob prefer a 2 door, but since it's 90% my DD and expedition vehicle for trips with family & dogs, I couldn't get by without my 4 door.

There are only a few times I've wished I had a 2 door...with 2 kids now, the 4 door is the only way to go.

The long base has its perks over the 2 door as well. Its more stable It can hold more people and stuff. I love two door jeeps but I have a family and if i had the two door we would only take the wifes car every where

There is no perfect size. Some areas are better suited to a shorter rig and other places are more fun with a long wheel base (Moab for example). Where I wheel in the tight PNW, 4drs have become known as Trail Cows.

It all just depends on what kind of wheeling you do. If you do alot of trails and woods than a 2 door is great. Get it in the Rocks and the 4 door is king. All rubbing means, is it is time to pick it up some more.

I do understand that the 4dr has its advantages. Just not around me since im located on the east coast where its mostly glacial deposit and forest. Im 22 with no kids or a wife and dont drive during the week... Shoulda bought a 2dr. Doh...
