So, I think it's time for the first trip to the dealer... It rained HARD tonight, and now I have a nice wet passenger side carpet. Here's what I want to have checked out while I'm there:

1. Slow start issue (Apparently there's a TSB now... good)
2. Leaky Soft top
3. Sunrider problems (with latches
4. Clutch issue? (Press clutch all the way in, and it will occassionally grind when moving the gear selector???)
5. Rattling Dome Light
6. Looseness in chassis (Felt somewhere through steering wheel, over bumps)
7. Squealing of jeep (Heard with top down, going under overpasses???)
8. Windsheild header noise (not sure if my jeep has it to the degree as others, but it's going in anyways, so...)


Anybody know of other things I should maybe look into? And has anybody had a problem with #7????

 

You got a CAI? if not what kinda squeeky? loud and long, short and spratic? Where is it coming from? Knot trying to be mean but different squeeks mean different things.....

 

No CAI. Almost sounds like an old fan belt squeaking, or a whistle. Odd thing is, you ONLY hear it while driving under underpasses, with the top down. I've never noticed it any other time.. It may just be wind noise from the jeep, but I figured you'd hear it the whole time

 

#7 in my opinion... Is you hearing how bad the aerodynamics are in the JK's

Whenever I pass a JK I can hear all sorts of whistling coming from it..

 

That's just the sounds happy Jeepers make.

 

I have to agree!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe it is the sound of air passing through our teeth and lips because we are smiling THE WHOLE TIME
