Lease Return
All
I leased a 2011 Sports S with the 17" Rims and the 255/75/17 Goodyear SRA's. Can I return the vehicle with Rubi tires and rims with no repercussions? Reason I'm asking is I will never have a use for the stock rims and tires now that I picked up a set of Rubi takeoff's and could use the cash. Also, with the amount of miles I put on the vehicle a year the Rubi tires will still be at an "acceptable" tread depth for a lease return. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The best way to handle it is to ask the dealership that will be taking in the vehicle when your lease is up.
Another thing to consider is that you may decide to keep the vehicle at turn-in (buy it outright), rather than giving it back. If that is the way you are leaning, the point may very well be moot.

Since you are replacing the factory wheels with another set of Jeep factory rims, there shouldn't be a problem. Usually a modification that improves the value of the vehicle won't decrease it's residual value. Check with your leasing company first, just to be safe.

Going off of the way the lease agreement works, no. The dealership could consider it a violation of the agreement and charge you for the cost of the appropriate tires and wheels. We know how dealerships can be, so I would be fearful of them doing it. However, the dealership could easily look the other way though, given that when you turn the leased vehicle over they are going to sell it through their used lot or via wholesaler... and it's not uncommon for people to trade in Jeeps with non-OEM tires/wheels.

I spoke to the dealership where I bought it and where I intend to turn it in and they said since the tires are the same size as long as they are all the same brand that I'm fine. Also, since the Rubi rims are slightly different in color than the rims I have on there now that should not be an issue since they are OEM equipment. I just don't trust the dealership and I'm looking if anyone else has done this or something like it. To be honest I doubt they would even notice the rim difference but you never know.

I don't know about Jeep but I have returned 2 leased Fords with aftermarket wheels and tires plus a ton if other modifications done yo them. They honestly didn't care and were probably glad because they were gonna wind up charging someone else a premium for my loss.

When I turned in my dodge nitro, it had a few addons, trailer hitch, etc.... They took it back, no problems, they can charge more money for it when they re-sell.
They will not give you anything for the items that are added on to the vehicle though.

Well I put my Rubi take offs on and put up for sale my stock rims and tires. 3 "lease return specialists" at 3 different dealers told me it was OK. I guess I'll know for sure in 3 years.
