Light Greystone Color?
I went to put in an order today for a Rubicon Unlimited w/Greysone color and the Dealer went to put it in but could not order that color anymore. He also tried on the X but could not order it. Has anyone heard why they are not making this color anymore? My wife
is stuck on that color and another dealer has one on order with that color but would cost me $2300 more!!! Invoice verse MSRP!!

Sorry, but his color is being decomissioned to make room for a new yellow color. Today (or yesterday?) was supposedly the last day to order the greystone color and the first day to order yellow. I'll potentially looking to order in yellow, but haven't been able to confirm the available order date yet. Your post makes me think that at least this date is correct in reference to the end of greystone orders.
Correct - originally, DCX was going to axe the Rescue Green option, then decided against it because of customer outcry and the color's popularity... instead, they decided to kill Greystone, because there are two similar colors available already (White and Silver).
I watched the dealer go through the order and colors, Yellow was not an option yet. With greystone gone should be soon. Good luck with that. Now I have to talk my wife into another color just to save $2k
Thanks for the info. How about silver? It looks very similar to greystone.
I like Jeep Green a lot (that is my current order), but your wife might not like it. Red Rock might be the way to go. It is a bit of a muted color (similar in that way to greystone) and looks great on the JK. It apparantly looks very different in person depending on the light.

I have the graystone, it has to be next to a silver one to tell the difference. Jeep green is nice, I didn't get it because my son has it on his TJ. I have always gotten black cars in the past but wanted a change. To be truthful, they all look pretty good if you put some beefier tires and some nice polished or blacked out rims. Look through the sema pictures on Project-JK, that will help you decide.
Rubimon, I think we have very identical Jeeps (Lt. Greystone with the black hardtop). But I thought this color was absolutely gorgeous, and wouldn't get another color if you asked me to. I'm suprised it's outed already. Fine with me, makes mine RARE
