Default locker help

ok guys need some help.A friend of mine has a 2012 rubicon and has never turned on his lockers until yesterday and decided to do so on pavement.(I know dumbass ).Anyway when he turned them off the rear lock blinked multiple times so he put in 2 wheel drive and drove off.Well the locker is still locked while he is driving. He told me he did not turn on pavement but i have my doubts. So what do yall think? He said he climbed under jeep and unplugged the locker and plugged back in but no help...............any ideas? or is it broke.

If its a 12 it's still under warranty. Can always play ignorant and being it in to the dealer. Have had a Rubicon since 2010 and have used the lockers a lot under all sorts of conditions (albeit not on pavement) and never experienced any issues.

Does he have any mods? Still under warranty? Take it to the dealership. This happened to mine and they replaced the carrier under warranty. I was running 35" tires at the time with stock gears.
