Default Locking hitch bolt for hitch mounted bike rack?

Hey I finally been able to install a hitch and a bike rack using a hitch extender. Now I just spent a quite a bit of money for my bike rack and I was wondering if anyone had any better solutions to lock up the bike rack to the Jeep than the $40 dollar locking bolts by THULE for which in my case would be 2 x $40 because for the extender. Apparently the THULE locking bolts can be broken off with the whack of a hammer. Any thoughts?

Weld it to the hitch extender and use a hitch lock on the vehicle

Grade 8 bolts!! That's what I use and no one can touch the rack without two wrenches with a 1" socket. But then again my bikes are worth a crap load more then my rack....

Yeah I ended up ditching the Thule lock that came with the rack and replaced it with a very tight nut/bolt. Not as quick to remove/install as a lock, but secure.

Have you looked at these? One-Key Lock Technology - Learns YOUR key the first time you use them — BOLT Locks by Strattec

Not too expensive, and they key to your ignition key so one less to carry.

I'm with advjeep, bolt the hitch, then use a bike chain to secure the bikes to the Jeep's spare tire.
