Default Long term balance for KM2's?

I currently have 37"x12.50R17 GY MTR/k's. In 30K miles I've had to have them rebalanced 4 times.

I'm thinking of BFG KM2's as replacements in the same size. What has been the forum's experience?

Please state tire size and mileage in reply.

Thanks!

Same issue here and it really doesn't help. They just ware bad. I'm looking at going to Nitto or Toyo though. The KM2 isn't a true 37. Might feel small to you.

I believe it has a lot to due with the larger tires. These tires are very heavy & our JK's are very light compared to the full sized trucks running the same sizes. Grams & Ounce increments have little effect on 60 plus lbs tires when it comes to tire wear. Therefore balancing seems to come more often.

I'd love to stick up for GY and agree but there are way to many documented cases on this forum alone to stick up for them. It's a GY problem. They have maned up and recalled every size up to 35" but apparently don't want to cover those of us who really spent the $$$

I understand the bigger tires need more looking after. Having to have the tire rebalanced every 7500 miles seems excessive to me. Loved the off road performance of it and they behaved well on road with the exception of the frequency of balance issue. I think 30K miles from a very open tread design is pretty good. I looked at the Toyo's and I don't want a 13.5 wide tire. The Nitto is a possibility.

So, anyone running Nittos or KM2's. How many miles? How many times have they been rebalanced?
