Default Looking for a Back-Up Camera?

Magellan has just come up with a GPS with a built-in Bluetooth back-up camera. It may be just the solution for many of us. Check it out:

That's not a bad deal, I assume it includes the GPS in the Bundle? I've been using Magellan GPS's for years and really like them. I may have to put this on my upgrade list... Great find!

Just for parking or am I missing a reason for this?

Default Something close

I did something close. I needed a quick solution for a backup camera before heading to Colorado for vacation. My 35" spare and AEV fuel caddy fill up the back window and my rearview mirror is useless except for inside cargo

I bought this GPS from Frys as it was in stock and had a video input. I wired in a 35 dollar camera into the spokes of my spare tire. The online package offers Bluetooth, but really, the running of the video wire was really easy, along the rollbar. The GPS has a huge screen. The video is a bit jumpy, kinda like a slow frame rate. Not sure if it is the GPS video or the cheap camera. That said, it worked quite well for what I needed. The GPS and camera from Frys cost about $165. The Bluetooth modules will add some bulk to the install.

Don't get me wrong, if this works for you, cool. I just wanted to point out you could save a couple of bucks and maybe have less parts to hassle with. Good luck with your setup and I look forward to hearing what works for you.
