Default Maintenance Advice for Lifted JK

Hey all,

Like many here I have a lifted JK, I primarily drive it on the beach and I am sure to hose it down and give it a thorough wash after every outing to keep the salt water off the truck. But one thing that happens from time to time (to others I'm sure) is getting those squeaks from the Lift. What do you guys use to keep everything lubricated? And what points are most important to keep lubricated? Also any other things I should be doing to keep everything working properly? Obviously I know the normal up keep, but i mean more in regards to the lift itself. It's my first lifted JK, so I just want to make sure I am taking care of it properly.

Thanks,
Kenny

What size lift are you running and do you have other aftermarket suspension components?

4" Skyjacker Liftkit
Skyjacker Dual Steering Stabilizer
20" XS Minster Wheels
35x12.50 Toyo Open Country Tires

Stock gearing for now. Should have 5.13's within a week or two.

I had a 2" lift on a 06 Colorado Z71 before my JK rubicon and it squeaked a lot. I used that silicon spray lubricant on ever joint, bushing and body mount I could get to and it got rid of the squeeking. I'd have to re-lube everything every oil change

Most likely your control arms. Change them out for something better such as teraflex. They have grease fittings on both ends.

For driving around here. 2" seems to be sufficient. Adding a Dupont coat is if you have money to throw, if not, regular water beats salt water anytime... Salt water will destroy anything it seems... rustproof or not.

I give it a bath after every beach trip. At minimum I hose down the entire under body.
