Default Maintenance tracking program

I’m looking for a program that I can use to track everything I do to my Jeep as well as remind me when servicing is due. I’ve found a few on the net but I would like some real world opinions. Has anyone used a program like this? Thanks - KY

I use Autokeeper. Its a pocket pc/smartphone program that works pretty good. I decided to record everything I did, gas cost, etc, from the day I brought the JK home. Plug in gas cost and gallons bought and it calculates MPG for you and saves the record. I'm not sure if there is a scheduler in it because I've never looked for one. I have a Dell Axim x50V ppc and a Samsung I730 phone and the program works great on both.

check it out

I keep the history on all my vehicles in files using wordpad. Have been doing this since I got the first jeep, a 94XJ, back in 94. I had a waranty issue in 96, so I printed out the history and took it along with me to the dealer. It helped and the problem was repaired under waranty with no questions, after seeing the running history of everything that was done to the XJ, including dates, miliage, and cost.
As far as tracking program that would remind you automaticly. I've never seen or heard of any.

Hey, I totally forgot I made this thread. I’ve been able to find a few programs but I don’t really know which one seems like the best package. I found one that was an online based program that goes for $15 a year for one vehicle that seems like a pretty good deal. From what they say you can put in just about anything you want to from maintenance to part numbers and warranty info to fuel even insurance and loan/lease payments. There are some cool features too; you can print out any maintenance records, make a listing to sell your vehicle with all specs and maintenance records, you can even have it calculate how much it costs to run you vehicle (I believe it factors in insurance and loan payments, fuel, and parts/labor). Plus since it’s online you can access from any computer including an internet phone. I figure I will just update it whenever I do maintenance or get fuel that way it will know when to send me a reminder e-mail for engine, diff, and t-case oil, radiator fluid, plugs, wires, and all the other stuff that can be hard to remember. I work on F-16’s and we track everything that’s done on the aircraft and since I’m kind of a nerd I want to do the same thing for my vehicle. I don’t know if I can post links to non-sponsors but if anyone wants the site feel free to PM me. - KY
