This is my first manual. It's a mostly love, some hate relationship:

Love the added fun... Love feeling more "connected" to the jeep.

Hate being stuck in traffic (boy what a heavy clutch!)... Hate how un-smooth it is (I can drive a car fine... but the jeep is very jerky... anybody else find that when coasting around parking lots in 1st, as soon as you tap the gas pedal, it bucks like a horse? Or when you ease off the gas it does the same?)

Plus, the manual's stick looks much better than that ford focus auto shifter they have in there! (I'd have to say if hummer got anything right, it's the automatic shift knob in the H2)

My girlfriend doesn't either... she wants me to teach her, but it's my baby!

I'm willing to bet the Audi is a much easier drive. The jeep is still a lot of fun, but it takes quite some effort, compared to the hondas I learned on! 1.5 years of driving it, and I'm still wondering if the lack of smoothness is operator error, or just something wrong with my jeep! Regardless, I wouldn't trade a stick for an auto anytime soon!

On a side note: I crushed my right hand this summer at work. Trying to shift through the gears with a cast on from the hospital (and for a few weeks after) wasn't all that fun. ESPECIALLY when you hit a bump in the road, and that knob WHACKS it!!! .
