manual tranny driving question

Default manual tranny driving question

i took my jk wheelin yesterday 6 speed unlimited and i think i need to learn how to drive stick again i went through a puddle and at the other side there was a hill not to steep and the puddle only went about halfway up on my tires i gt to the climb and my jk felt like it had no power at all i stopped and when i gassed it again it didnt have enough power to go up the hill i had to back up and rev it high to make it up does this happen with manual trannys ive always wheeled with auto's does the esp have anything to do with it ?

I'm guessing it's your transfer gear ratio. I have 3.23 on my Jeep and it's a dog in situations like what you describe. Check to see what you have and start saving for something better.
