Worse case would be a maintenance ticket. Which means you have 30 days to put your doors back on and have an Officer sign off on it.

That info came from the Baltimore County Police Department.

That surprises me. For some reason I would have figured that MD would have been more hard core on it.

What's the fine for a maintenance ticket in MD? It used to be $9 here once the LEO signed off on it, but the State raised all traffic fines. They jumped to almost $60 here.

I don't know how much they cost. Years back I was sited for a crack in my windshield and I don't recall a fine at all. I remember I grabbed a LEO off the snack isle at 7-11 to sign off for me. He was a tad annoyed.

I've seen guys running around without doors all the time. I've been watching and some of them did not have a side mirror at the time. My salesman told me you had to have them. Not sure who to believe, but if & when I take the doors off some sort of mirror will be going on.

having asked my next door neighbor about this who is a Montgomery county cop, he said that doors are not required, but at least one mirror must be present to allow view to the rear of the vehicle. He also mentioned that its the law he knows but isn't sure if its just Montgomery county that the law applies, or the whole state.

so far... i've got nothing but waves and friendly looks from all the police around here when riding without doors, so i'm not worried about it.

that maintance ticket thing is for some dummy that wishes he had a jeep and took the doors off his honda civic or something.
