Default Might Be New to the Jeep World Soon

Hey everyone, first post. I currently own a 2011 Mustang GT. My uncle had me doing some research for a new car for him (he owns a 98 Cherokee) and I stumbled across the Jeep website and fell in love with the Wrangler. Iv always been a big fan of big 4X4 jeeps just never bought one. Iv always owned low sport/muscle cars. Im getting tired of the harsh rides and being so low now. I love the simplicity of the Wrangler too. Wind-up windows, maunal door locks. I just want to cruise, find a nice trail, have some fun, maybe camp the night. Cant do that with a Mustang lol. Im going to test drive a rubicon this weekend. How do you all like them as DD's? Gas mileage and all that. Some people told me they have harsh rides, which makes no sense to me. If I like it I sure hope they give me a good deal on my car. Heres a few pics of my car now, not sure if its you guys thing lol.

I had a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X that I traded in for my 2012 Rubicon Unlimited. A very different type of vehicle, but I have no regrets. Only problem is I keep wanting to spend more money on it! I had actually looked at getting one in 2008, but didn't like the test drive back then. Different experience this time, and the Rubicon drives very smoothly as a daily driver. I still have a 1989 convertible Mustang GT that I'll fix up someday.

Nice, I actually had a 2010 Evo X before the mustang. Some guy ran the light and totaled it. How did it feel coming from such a fast car to a much slower high one? Thats one thing I will deffently miss, 428hp lol.

Instead of seeing how fast I can get some where, now I think I could drive "through/over" the most direct path. Who needs roads? I love the option to take off the top. I also had for my first taste of going without doors, and will be doing it again much of the summer.

Don't buy the "extended warranty" it's a complete scam. You buy a 5 year warranty for a 4 year old jeep your only covered for 12 months.

Skip the service package too. last you want to do is spend 3 hours at the dealership on a Saturday for a friggin oil change.

You will get a much better interest rate through your credit union or personal bank.

Don't pay freight, delivery, set up, shop, mainteance or medical fees, those are trumped up BS charges too.

Good luck, you can always simply walk away.

Gotcha, thanks for the advice. I would never get the service packages or anything like that. I always do my own work on my cars.
