That doesn't sound right, I am getting 15.6 with a kilby skid plate, shrockworks front bumper and aftermarket wheels and tires. Is yours an unlimited? hard or soft top?

I have a little over 400 miles on my stock 09 Rubi with the autogearchooser. Filed up, reset the mpg gizmo. Drove about 100 miles today and it says 20.4 mpg.
I'll take that.

Push and hold the button, it will reset to 0. then set what you are getting. Also make sure you are on MPG not KPG
I get 17-18 with RRC bumpers and a winch. I have an auto and 4.10s..and that is city driving

Don't trust the computer unless you have verified it is accurate. Mines seems nuts-on, but there are a lot of posts where people complain it is off. What I do:

1. Reset the MPG only when I fill up
2. Keep track of the miles I go and gallons filled at each fill-up
3. Compare the miles run vs gallons used to the trip computer

If they compare, great. If not, keep note of it. I log every single drop of gas and plot against every single mile run. OK. I'm a nerd. But I can vouch for my MPG computer on the JK - well within .5 MPG.

I have a stock hard-top X unlimited, 255/75R17s, 3.73, nearing 6K miles and am getting around 17.5 mpg.
