mod idea: builtin EEE pc
I had an EEE pc, liked it, sold it after I graduated from university, figured I wouldn't need it.
I have an idea. It's preliminary, I haven't looked into it much.
Install an EEE pc under the central dash top piece (where the compass receiver sits). There's not enough room under the rear part of the panel (closest to the window), but the front looks OK. With a bit of modification to that top piece of plastic (or a new piece), you could stick it to the lid of the laptop, and glue/stick the bottom of the laptop to the dash itself. That way, when the laptop is closed, it would/could look stock (without side-by-side comparison), and when opened, you could potentially have an all-powerful GPS/Nav/Multimedia/Web/etc unit right there! And it would hardly block your view.
Thoughts?

I have an EEE PC that I carry in the rear cubby, but I was really glad I had it out last weekend when the interior got drenched.
It is pretty handy, though, because I have a 12V charger for it and can hook it to my phone to get my JK-forum fix. (or remote into work if I HAVE to
