My parents have a hard time and I've given serious thought to the power steps from AMP. They seem to tuck up nicely. I'd like to see some in person first. Steps on a Jeep may be uncool, but I may have to for dear oil' mom.

My 86 year old grandmother put one hand on the grab handle and hauled herself into the backseat ass first. Pretty impressive!

I've seen these, used them, and installed them on many Tohoes and trucks and they are very nice for those but my only concern is when I offroad. I'd hate to tear one off cause they are expensive. The only step I know of that's powered and is strong because its a slider also is RSEs slider step. They are loud though when they drop and raise.

Go to Welcome Distributing on this forum and check out their grab handles. They are awesome, very solid and easy to install and really make getting in and out so much easier. My wife complained every time she had to get in after the 4" lift and 37's but I got a plastic folding step and the grab handles from Welcome and its a breeze now. Call and talk to Ken. Any more details on this? Never seen it before. Might resolve many of my household arguments.

LOl - My mom isn't exactly tall either. Once I added the 2.5" lift she accused me of doing it intentionally to keep her out of the jeep.

I have a plastic step stool I take with me when I take mom for a ride. She's been paralyzed on one side since having a stroke several years back, but can get in by stepping up on the stool. She still prefers my wife's Lincoln, but enjoys the Jeep after she gets in it.

My Mom was raised in a family with an old Willy's. The first time I took her for a ride I was topless. She put one foot on the tire, one hand on the rollbar, and up she went into the backseat. Lol. It totally caught me off guard. She is sooo wise!
