Actually portal axles are a BAD idea!

As it requires a heavier and more complex hub assembly (we already have issues with bent C's and axle tubes on our JK's), however, these systems can result in an increased unsprung weight and require robust axle control elements to give predictable handling (we already have issues with stock JK's having bump steer and death wobble problems). In addition, at higher speeds the hub assembly can overheat.

Portal axles are for a purpose built trail rig only...useless for a rig that will be used on the street at all.. Nice try Mopar.....EPIC FAIL!

I thought someone was coming out with portals for the JK. It seems they were wanting two arms and a leg for'em.

In this application I'd say they are perfectly fine, they obviously are not using standard JK axles under there, no need to worry about bent C's on those beefy axles...epic fail I think not

Anyone know if that front bumper is made by anyone? It just says off road bumpers, so not sure if it's custom or not and I don't recognize it.
