Default more blinking locker lights questions

Hi,

My Rubicon has been doing this since new:

The locker lights blink almost continuously, i.e. the lights hardly ever go "solid". Sometimes after a minute or two, they'll be ok.

If I engage the lockers while the transmission is in neutral (t-case in low obviously), the lights instantly indicate that the lockers are engaged. As soon as I put it into drive or reverse, they'll start blinking again.

The one interesting thought I've had is that my tcase lever has a hard time shifting into low. Sometimes it'll pop out of low, like the shifter hasn't quite hit the detent yet. Does anyone know how the lockers decide that the t-case is in low? If it was based on shifter position with a sensor, maybe the things don't think the truck is in low...

Any thoughts?

thanks,

Chris.

I just had a bunch of things replaced on mine because the rear wouldn't unlock. Parts and labor would have been around $2K (said the service guy) if I wasn't under warranty.

I would just take it to the dealer, if possible.

I will definitely do that on my next service, but my in my experience the dealership mechanics are typically only good at fixing things that do not require significant effort to diagnose :-).
