More haters
they said it has poor visibility.... umm i believe top off i can see behind me almost as good as a motorcycle... everything else i think they are right on though... good off road that is all that matters
Save yourself! There's still time to buy a Camry! Get rid of that horrible Chrysler product and purchase a vehicle acceptable to everyone. Only this will quell the relentless voices demanding you repent for such an unwise and emotional purchase. And quit smiling so much when you're driving your JK! Driving is a duty to be endured, not enjoyed.
I bought a Jeep because it was still an offroad 4x4 and that was what I was after.
Over the last twelve years I have had four company 4x4 pickup trucks. Each time I got a new one it was alittle less of a truck and more a car. A few years ago I seen a report that said 35% of the US market was 4x4 pickups and that 80% of them never left the pavement and the industry was designing them with this in mind. Do they thing this is the road we want the jeep to go down?
I think not!

Welll..... I think we all know that it takes a special kinda person to drive a jeep. Its not for everyone. As we show with our MOD's, a stock one is just "OK".
My wife gets it but my Mom shakes her head every time I buy a new jeep. She loves the comfort of her BMW and can't understand why I would take a bumpy slow ride over buying a car like she has.
Most of the reasons they wrote about it being bad are the same reason why we love it.

I am too lazy to actually read the article, especially cause I inherently disagree. But you cant account for being able to take the doors off, go wherever you want, and they need to be able to account for the jealous stares of the guys in the X5s, Q7s, and FX35s whenever they see us. Plus while I would never buy an american car, Jeep is the only 4x4 I would ever purchase

Oddly my wife has never said anything to me about spending money on mods. At the same time she hasn't given me the satisfaction of hearing her say she really likes it. But it shows. Mom's not with us anymore but she would aprove since dad owned two of them when I was a kid that she drove all the time.
Their complaints/my input:
-Ride: It's not that bad. My family has never owned a car, so I have nothing "comfortable" to compare the JK with.
-Handling: Again, not that bad. But again, I don't have much to compare to.
-Braking: I know it doesn't have excelent 60-0 braking figures but honeslty in the real world, it breaks pretty damn good.
-Noise: What do you expect. It has removable/soft top, paper-thin removable doors and is as aerodynamic as a brick. Geeee I wonder why it has so much wind/road noise...
-Fuel economy: It's not the greatest, but compared to it's closest competition, it gets similar. (JK=17mpg, H3=15mpg, FJ=17mpg combined city/hwy)
-Fit and Finish: I kinda have to agree.
-visibility: I call BS! I think the Jk offers great visibility. The only thing restricting it is the spare in back, but big deal.
-Frontseat comfort: I disagree 100%. The front seats are really comfortable IMO
-Access: If you have a hard time getting in the JK and feel that it's a hassle, then don't buy it. But it's not an issue for me.
-Reliability: Are you kiding me. This is coming from the people that dismiss new vehicle reliability based on their manufacture. An exemple of this is they were putting all new toyotas on their recommended list, including the new tundra, but then removed it because they realized it was a POS.
BTW Notice how they put the FJ cruiser there (surprisingly), and it's the only toyota I don't hate.
