MSRP Question
Is it possible that the MSRP listed on my order is $300 more then the MSRP listed on every other website I can find, including the Jeep site itself?
I ordered a Sahara Unlimited 4x4 Jeep Site Base MSRP = $26,605
My order sheet shows MSRP = $26,905
I asked the dealer and they said it was accurate, that they get the MSRP's right from Jeep in Detroit, and that the Jeep site is in accurate...What the
Is that even possible? Isn't that false advertising then? I am confused, and feel like I am getting hosed....Any one else ever see, hear, or know anyhting about something like this?
I am open to all opinions. Thanks.

The "MSRP" you were given may include some silliness like a $300 charge for VIN Etching (which most dealers will tell you is a mandatory service, and non-negotiable... which is a lie).
could be the "advertising/marketing" fees that jeep charges dealers depending on their area in the country... this is what edmunds says:
if i were ordering, i would not be looking at msrp though. get your deal relative to invoice. if i was willing to wait on an order, 500 over invoice was the deal i had going. you are basically giveing the dealer an additional allocation of a jeep wrangler next year by buying one outside of his inventory. let him sell all the ones on the lot for msrp. as an informed buyer you shouldnt be paying that anyway.
The invoice price does not include any fees that may be charged by the manufacturer to dealers in a particular area of the country, such as local advertising fees, dealer association fees, or docking and storage fees. Edmunds.com does not track or provide such local fees.
If a local fee appears on the invoice, it is an actual cost that the dealer paid to the manufacturer when buying the vehicle. In other cases dealers may choose to write in their own ad fees on the consumer sales contract. However, in either case these local fees are a part of the dealer's cost of doing business.

Thanks for the input all. It does make me feel better knowing I am not completely crazy.
I have an employee family pin number, so it brings my price to a good amount below invoice. I was just a bit curious to see if they were trying to tack on a few extra $$ because of the pin number...
Thanks all. Now if I can just fst forward a couple of months for when the Jeep is done...

Also, remember the hold back $$ that the dealer gets from Chrysler. It may be a few hundred to a grand, but is the secret inflation of the MSRP and invoice that allows the dealer to make a profit even if he sells at invoice. I paid $500 over invoice, which was $750 below MSRP. Salesman was totally up front about the hold back, saying that he couldn't tell me how much it was exactly, but giving me the impression that they made about $1400 on the deal. I might have pushed further, but that was after 2 weeks of searching for a 6spd X 4.10... But, my MSRP matched the online invoices exactly, and there were no other baloney charges.

Here's what my order looks like. The destination charge is a seperate line item.
What does "FWP" stand for? The right column, I think that is the invoice price right? Then at the bottom, There is KB=Kick Back? FFP=Friends &Family Price? EP=Employee Price?
Also, what does "Priority Code=01" mean?
