HOw many of you guys actually own the MW3 Edition JK?? I love that vehicle but it is out of my price range. I own a 2-week old 2012 Black Sport JKU, not a bad consolation! I was just curious, I've seen several Arctic owners but haven't seen any MW3 owners.

Couple people on here have one... No offense to them, but I think it's a waste of money for a couple simple mods and a jacked-up price tag.

I am that guy I guess..

I have a MW3 JKU 2012, got it last Tuesday. I got a deal under invoice though my work though so it wasn't as high priced. out the door a little over 39. I love the way it looks, and yes all the parts are just AEV but they are all crash tested etc (which is a big plus to the wife and future kids)

Considering that a lot of regular rubicons are in the high 30s/low 40s range, that doesnt seem like a bad deal at all. I like the look of the MW3 in pictures, havent seen one in person yet.

Good for you. People have complained on here forever that Jeep's special editions don't involve any mechanical upgrades. So... Jeep finally releases one that DOES have some useful goodies (that AEV bumper is the shit) and people complain that it's too expensive.

The MW3 is the most capable Jeep you can buy. It's a Rubicon with even more awesome stuff on it. Enjoy your Jeep, and remember that... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjy_7haflaM

Whats the "even more stuff on it"? Other than the AEV bumpers & hood, BFG MT's, Filler door gas cap(whoopie!), embroidered seats(really?), and rocker guards? Yea, it sounds like a lot...but they are pretty common mods for any off road enthusiast who'll just add-on after.

I mean, hell - if you got the money then get it - but its just a rubicon with a "Name" to it... all the stuff on there you can get yourself, with other brands in lieu of the overpriced AEV parts, BFG's which are nothing out of the ordinary for jeeps and/or off-road rigs, and rocker guards which really are a standard when wheeling...

I guess I'll keep to myself tho after I said what I had to say, because everyone is going to jump down my throat and say "its an awesome jeep" Yea, it is....but its over priced...

rant over...

I dunno, man, AEV front and rear bumpers, extended Mopar rock rails, and the AEV hood are all pretty desirable items. Of course YMMV, but I would gladly take any of those pieces on a Jeep. You're talking at least $3,000 worth of well-engineered equipment. Sure you can buy them afterwards. But my point is that these are actually useful and desirable additions to the standard Rubicon.
