Default My brand new Mango got Keyed/Trashed

AHHH! Some a**hole destroyed the side of my BRAND NEW new mango rube on Halloween night (last nite). I am sooooo pissed. They did not just simply key it...they carved a dick on the door & keyed it from tail end to front. I am so upset :( One of the main reasons I bought a 2011 was b/c of this color. I LOVE the mango tango. I traded in my car i had for 11 years to get this so as you can understand...it was a big deal.

so, my question is... I called around to some places to get it fixed. I have been told that they have to repaint that side. Bottom line...will the paint be the exact same? The auto body shop assured me it would be. I called the Jeep dealership & they said that they don't even use factory paint. I am concerned it may not match...or that even if it does, that in 5 or 6 years it will fade & not be the same.

Is the paint these places use of the same quality?

Thanks so much for your help,

sad Mango Tango Rubicon owner

Unfortunately your jeep will never be quitethe same. The paint should match, but nothing is as good as factory paint. I would look for a shop thathas good reviews and hope for the best. Good luck!!

Man i would fuck up the person if i caught them doing that crap to my Jeep.

But to answer your question, I think it's to soon to get the kind of feedback you're looking for. These questions will best be answered by the Shop that you go with to do the work. Go with which ever shop you're the most comfortable with and does the better job convicing you they can match it and will stand behind the work.

Fuck that sucks dude.. the penis part made me chuckle.... but then i got upset again for you and your situation.

Im sorry man...The good news is that since its a relatively new vehicle, there should be no paint fading and new paint should match almost perfectly. I hope you get everything straightened out soon

I know a lot has changed in paint technology in the last few years, but... I would push insurance to have the whole thing repainted and clear coated. If you like the Mango Tango, then go with that. I have seen to many cars that were only partially repainted that faded badly after a few years.
