I am looking into getting a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, and was wondering if MYGIG was worth it? How about driving with no top with it? and anyone have there's stolen with there soft top on or with no top on? just looking to see if its worth it. Thanks in advance guys. Mike

 

I have it and what little I have used it I have to say I like it. I have read the book and I wish I was smart enough to utilize all of its capabilities.

 

She regrets not getting it in our 08 Rubicon.

 

save the almost 3k and use that money for upgrades.

save computers etc for a prius or car. The first time you get a scratch on the mygig screen your gonna feel horrible.

 

I love mine!

As for getting stolen, the mygig won't work without matching the VIN (or something like that). So, I've heard the "pro's" leave 'em alone.

$3k???... I found a mopar dealer on line and paid $1550 for a brand new mygig or you can go to ebay and buy a used one for under a grand.

 

Go for it, they are great. I did have a ton of problems with mine in the past, they replaced it 4 times but it seems they have it right now and it is great. As for stealing them, I think thieves really want to grab the aftermarket GPS systems because they are easy to get and sell. The mygig is only limited to chrysler/ jeep/ dodge.
