Default Need Hardtop Info

Ok,

This is a strange request. The information I need is this. Does anyone have a broken hardtop laying around ? I would like to find out what the gap is between the outer and inner hartop just above the rear wiper area.

I am looking to install a resessed or flush mounted third brake light in my hardtop.

Could you call or email Bestop for that answer? They make the Mopar top. Good luck on your quest. I suppose if you never remove the top it could work in place of the tire mount.

I couldn't tell you for sure. But maybe use a set of calipers and measure the external distance, and it might give you a good approximation (you can measure the thickness of the fiberglass down where it bolts to the body).

However, I do like where you are going with this... kind of a neat idea!

as far as removing the factory 3rd brake light...
perhaps someone could mount one to the rollbar to qualify as 3rd brake light with the top off? Still have to figure something for soft top...

Thanks, I thought it would be a clean install for the Hardtop. The flat surface in that area has a 12 degree angle, that should'nt be to bad for a flush mount...
