I haven't measured, but I'm pretty sure that you can get something 8' long into the Jeep then with the tailgate closed.

If there isn't 8' in the Jeep. Take out the back window, remove the spare and put it inside and rest the 8' object on the tailgate.

I guess trailer it is. I hate driving around Brooklyn looking for safe Parking. I can't go underground because of height. Or street because of thieves. $100.00 a night it is for safe parking I guess.

I'm not trying to be a wise ass about it, but why not just only take your tools up and buy the 8' boards up here? Even if you already have the 8' boards, maybe you could use those on another job down in NC. What type of boards are you talking about?

I was thinking the same thing. You already have a soft top and your a Jeep guy. Wind noise can't be a problem now.

BRIT- Buy your boards up there, you can carry them a short way with the back window zipped out......
