Default need help.... can't choose!!

Hi folks,

I really want a jk big time.

But I just can't decide between 2 models.

a brand new 2007 black sahara on 3.21

or

a dark green 5000 miles 2007 rubi and one year of waranty already gone.

both same price.

I'll put 35'' with 3'' lift on the choosen rig. I'll consider regearing for the sahara.

please help me out!

Charles

Buy the Rubi as long as it is in the shape you are happy with. You get a lot more for the same price, even considering the miles....

i'd take the new one to get the extra year of warrenty..sounds like you'll want to upgrade axles anyway at some point..so just get the sahara and upgrade the axles down the road.

I do some highway driving. Will 4.10 on 35'' get very bad mpg? What would be a comfortable cruize speed in 6th gear around 2000-3000 rpm?<<

I would have to go with the New Sahara. Remember, the Lifetime power train warrenty is only good for the original owner. If you buy an 07 or a 08 used you can not transfer the lifetime power train warrenty.......

.... I know a jk aint a 740bmw but I suppose the 6th gear would probably help topspeed compare to the tj's 5speed

I don't think we got that power train warranty here in canads. That's cover motor, t-case, axels and shafts?

Some have had problems with them, but there are plenty that have never had any issues at all with them. Remember that problems seem worse on internet forums.

If you dont get the lifetime warranty on the new one then for sure go for the Rubi!
