need help deciding.
Ok I have a dilema. I have an '11 jku sport 4x4 sahara tan. But I really want a rubicon in the same color. Before I just liked jeeps, now since I've been on the forum I really kick my butt for not getting a rubicon
.
Now I gave my self several options.
1: keep it and stop whining, save up and turn it into a rubiclone later. ($$$)
2: trade it in and pay $120 to $150 more a month. (I pay $550 now, $$)
3: dont mod to much and trade it in a year or two. (add 1 or 2 years of financing $$)
I dont plan on wheeling it hard for a year or 2 because right now its my wifes daily driver, until I pay off my truck in a year and I can get her a car. <-- this is why I wasnt thinking straight and thought I didnt need a rubicon, but long term I think I will.
If you dont think I need a rubicon, then please explain.
What would you do?

If you trade, you will lose way to much money plus and extra $150 a month.... That would be $700 for a JK
which is crazy to me. Jeeps hold there value well and
I would suck it up and enjoy what you have. When your truck is paid off just get another Jeep and then you will have a Rubi and a Sahara!

Maybe you could sell it privately and have someone else take over the loan. I don't know it that would be a good idea for you or not though.
But anyways, I knew from day one when I wanted a Jeep, I wanted a Rubicon.

They are still very capable in any form. Not everyone has a rubi. I don't. Save up 500-800 get a rear electric locker. Lift it and put larger tires on it. If your really feel the need...get a front locker down the road. Most wont need a front locker... Especially if the wife's gonna run it for a bit. You will be surprised how well it will do with the non rubi jk. Enjoy what you have for the money you would spend/ lose getting a rubi you can make your better with better parts rubi lockers are not that great any way...
1. Hush and stop whinning. The more you look into this website you are gunna wanna mod. Here's my advice. Every month put money aside for the jeep and at the end of the year get Dana 60's then start new from there.
Don't rubiclone... Keep urs unique. Mine was a Sahara.... At one point til I modded up significantly. Now it's a TANK

$150/month can allow you to start getting the mods on your sahara and beef it up to suit your needs (mud, rocks, highway, snow, sunday driving)
Unless you were planing on keeping your Rubi stock, you'll end up tossing out a lot of rubi parts anyways.
Save your money, make changes to suit your needs and love it. My
