I got my jeep like 3 or 4 months ago and i went to put my soft top down and my side bowes stay on a 75 degree angle and will not go down. why is this? and what can i do to make them go down because i drove with it like that because i thought it was right but it blow up from the wind a little. no damage, so i would really like to know how to do it correctly so it doesnt happen again. plus i have watched the dvd like a million times and still no help.

If you look at one of the folds when you put it down and get to the point your at, if you'll take the sides of the first and second fold and push them in, it's the lips that attach under the softop frame. Push those rascals in and the frt part of the bow should come down. I've done this to a few that had your prob.
rip those damn stock screws out that attach the knuckles to the bracket and replace 'em with those quick remove ones, then when you put your top down, just unhook the knuckles from the bracket and you won't have that problem anymore.
the package I'm talking about replaces all the screws and such for your hard top and soft top so that you don't require tools to remove either any more

thanks for the tip!
It's all about the "w" fold as the demo video describes it. Get it right and the top will go down smoothly but if not folded tight enough it will snag as you're experiencing on the rear rollcage and leave the bars pointed up like yours are. The fold has to completely clear that rear rollcage where it attaches to the tub to let the bars sit parallel.... Or you could just get the quick releases as stated earlier
