Post Need info about the clutch

It all started when my clutch went soft and got really hard to put into any gear. Read up on the forums and found out that the most likely reason would be the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. I replaced them both, bled the break and clutch, there is no air in the lines whatsoever. *THE PROBLEM* The clutch pedal is still softer than it was originally, it'll go into gear just fine, however, I don't know if it's supposed to be softer or stiffer. I have to put it all the way to the floor, whereas I didn't have to before. The only sounds I heard was the creak when pushing on the clutch pedal. No grinding or rattling though. If its good I would just like confirmation, if not, I need to know what the problem is to fix it. Thanks.

It should come off the clutch about halfway down, certainly not at the floor. It is generally a softer pedal when new than am aftermarket clutch. The stock clutch is lighter than my stock TJ yet stiffer than a 2015 vw tdi golf. I've replaced the clutch with a brand I can't recommend and it's far stiffer despite being a stage 1.

So would you say I'm good to drive it, or is there something still wrong?

If the clutch is able to solidly disengage the transmission from the motor while you make a gear change then you're safe to drive it.

If you feel like maybe it won't disengage and you'll be grinding gears then I'd plan on dropping it and doing a new clutch.
