Default Need opinions....

Which one looks better?? Right now I've got my tires with letters out, but they're starting to get scuffed up from rocks so I thought about having them flipped to blackwall out. For practicality, I know it's blackwall all the way....which one do you think looks better though?

This pic was from before the lift was installed, but you get the idea....

White lettering out always reminds me of the 70's and CJ's. I dont think it looks bad. At least on the example given.

Agreed. With the chrome wheels it does looks like older Jeep styling. And that is not a bad thing. Both look good.

I have always said in the past if tires have white letters, put um outside. For some reason on the Jeep, that ain't always true. I think with the darker colors, the black looks better out.

Cool, thanks everyone...that's what I was hoping to hear. I like the white letters, always have...but it's a pain keeping em clean. You spray tire cleaner on the tires, then it gets on the rims, then you gotta polish the wheels to get the spots out (which is a PITA), so it's a process that I'm tired of dealing with....it'll be done tomorrow and I'll post a pic then.

I prefer black. And make sure you don't spray tire shine on the tire. It looks best when it's flat black.

The black out doesn't always look better because you can sometimes see the white letters on the inside and then it just looks like the tires were installed backwards. This often happens when you have a lift and it's easy to see the backside of the tires from an angle.

You can actually order black letters only. In other words, no white letters on either side. That would be my preference. Talk to your tire retailer and ask them about that.
