Need Your Help
Neighbor is going to be buying a 2011 Wrangler Sport 4 door unlimited, he wants to ask the dealership to throw in trading out the 16" tires for 18" ones exactly like on the Sahara. He likes how mine look on my Sahara. It has trailer tow package and Trac Lock anti slip. Does this tire and wheel change necessitate some sort of regearing? Please answer. Thanks in advance for your help.

i would not get 18's.. the tires are quite a bit more $$ than a 16".
check the for sale area and get some 17" moab's with bfg tires on em that someone took off when they got the jeep for larger ones and put them on!!! u can get them pretty cheap!! i let all 5 of my stock tires go for 250$ and they werent even half worn.

No regear is necessary. If it has the tow package it prolly already has the 3.73s on it any way which is what the sahara has. If its an automatic trans., it definitely has the 3.73s. And as others have stated, he could prolly find a set of SAHARA take offs on this forum for a better price than what the stealership is gonna give him.
