From an artistic/asthetic viewpoint (I'm an artist), the chrome on the gas cover is detracting the eye away from the rest of the vehicle. If it were black, the chome centers on the rims would "pop" just that much more. I think the chome in the wheel centers look good, but too much chrome and it just starts to look obnoxios IMO.

I agree! I'm going to black out the gas tank cover except for the Allen screws.

I definitely think the black you have now goes better with the rest of the Jeep. Looks more rugged I think. Looks good.

I even painted my fuel door screws. Having them crome also took away from the solid looking door.
Here is mine. I have ALL black trim.
