New to Jeep ownership...
3.73's minimum 4.10 would be ideal if your going to run 35"+
If you get the 3.21'a and re gear later it's going to cost around $1200
Better just to get it from the factory so you won't loose the Jeep for a day or two while there doing the work. Plus it keeps your powertrain warranty intact. I would not jump the gun on a Jeep find one That you exactly want so there's no regrets. There a dealer they can make it happen if they can't then find one that can.

Just an fyi. While not ideal 35's and 3.21 are not that bad. My bro has been running like that for 6 months and it doesn't really bother him that bad and he still returns around 16mpg. And we go wheeling 2-4 times a month (gotta love Washington and great wheeling within a 2-3 hour drive in any direction)
I live at sea level and we have almost no hills. With that in mind I have 3.73's and 35's with a 2 door manual trans and to me it's borderline needing to be re geared. If I lived where there were lots of hills and mountains I would bump the re gear to the top of my list.
I really can't imagine running 3.21's with 35's.I like all my vehicle's fast off the line and have the ability to merge or jump out into traffic with ease.

Being from Arkansas we have a lot of hills. So that's why I'm starting to think I'll be ok with 3.21 to start with. And hen when I get ready to put tires on it just drop the tires, lift, and gears all at the same time.
Thanks Packs, hope to bring the JK home next week. Not really sure who is more excited, my wife for getting a new car, or me for finally having a jeep at the house lol
