Default New JK 2-dr

Well, as many of you know I have been debating the new JK for a little while now and I have located two rubicons within an hour or so drive from my house.

There is a rescue green 2-dr rubicon and a bright silver 2-dr rubicon close by. I have gotten them to $26396 with tax, title, and all fees for the bright silver rubicon and a decent price on trade for my truck. Does this price sound about right to everyone? I was told that invoice is $27K on this model.

It has duel tops, 6 speed, and the stadard radio I belive...I am going to call him back tonight and ask some more details on the rig before driving out there tomorrow moring (its an hour or more drive).

Also, I have an 11 month old son. Will his rear fasing car seat fit in a 2-dr??? If not then I won't be getting it and won't waste my time driving down there tomorrow...and will just order a 4-dr rubicon and wait 4+ months!

Thanks!!!

Default Just a thought

Get the 4dr. I have two younger children and to get them in (and out) of the CJ-7 is a chore. You'll be glad in the end that you waited for the 4dr. as it's got more room for the car seat, diaper bag, stroller, groceries, etc. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Not for rock crawling, but it's very close. In everything else I can think of it's the equal of or better than the two door.

However, I got the two door with a 6 year old, and he loves climing in and out. We are in discussion for another rugrat next year, and I didn't let that bother me when getting the 2 door. Good luck!

I dont have kids but, i own the two door. Its a real pain to get my niece in the back when i babysit.

the seats do not fold forward like the TJ's. it hard enough for an adult to get in the back. its not alot of room at all.

I have a 6 yr old and the 2 door is no problem. However, I wouldn't want to be trying to buckle in a rear-facing car seat in the 8 or so inches the seat actually goes forward. Although I love my 2 dr, there's no way I'd have gotten it with a little-little one.

i got the 2 door. I like it a lot, but I have no rug rats at this time. However it is a major pain in the tail for anybody to get in the back due to those "new improvements" DC made all over the board to the Wranglers. I'm seriously hoping the aftermarket makes a flip forward kit for the passenger seat and a relocation kit for the seatbelt which retardedly attaches to the seat so you get to trip over that too....yeesh. Let ME build the next Wrangler!
