Another thread was started on this... so I'll cross-post my thoughts:
If you look at the expense of doing this through a reputable shop, it deters most. How much do you think this is going to run you when you consider buying the conversion kit through Chrysler and then having them do the install work so that it can be covered under warranty? I wouldn't be surprised if we are talking 30-50% MORE than having a reputable shop do the work. So, if you consider that Burnsville charges approx. $21k for a 5.7 provided and installed... are we talking $25-30k for Chrysler to do this and stand behind it? As hard as my nipples are for this... a $55,000-60,000 Hemi-powered Rubicon isn't palatable.

A heavy foot at the wrong time in 4-lo would easily tear stuff up, even on 32" tires.
Plus, if they stick a Mopar label on a kit, I doubt if the price will compete with what AEV or Burnsville offer direct. Hopefully wrong on that.
Should be interesting.

The rear brakes/traction control are not adequate for a 200hp engine. Just search "rear brake failure" on this forum, tons of results. If the kit does not include upgraded rear brakes, its just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

If you are purchasing the conversion kit through your local dealer and the service department is doing the install, it shouldn't void the current warranty (on remaining components) and the new components will carry any related MOPAR warranty. Explicitly, crate engines carry a 90-day limited warranty. If this is marketed as a performance kit, performance parts through MOPAR have either a 12-month warranty (unlimited miles) or sold as-is (no warranty). The dealer, naturally, would have to stand behind the install.
For the cost of the kit and install, I am thinking Chrysler would have to stand behind it in some capacity. At a minimum, I think that looks like the 12-month warranty (from date of install).
