Default New MTR's

OK, so I saw the back of a PU at a stoplight today..
He was runnin the new Goodyear MTR's.

There is no way in hell I am putting those things on my Jeep.
It looked like a MT Claw that got mounted wrong on the right side.

Sorry Goodyear... They s/b directional. I am not gonna trust that tire
to pull me in a straight line.

To give some props.. The Dura Trac looks like a sweet @$$ A/T!

Your loss. They aren't directional, they don't pull, they're quiet on the road, sticky as hell on the rocks and now.... they're officially Moab tested and approved!

Yeah, you can supposedly run them either direction...but it would look kinda dumb I think to run them "backwards", I mean they do LOOK like a directional tire...doesn't matter, I think they look dumb no matter what direction you run em...just my $.02

Still don't like the new MTR. If I had the $$$$ I would have a set of Nitto Mud Grapplers on mine.

I guess I am just disappointed, I was hoping for a new king.

They may be ok, but I just can't get over the fact of having one side runnin'
a different direction.

I'm guessing the MT/R will perform great, but I think they do look a bit odd. I do like the looks of the Dura Tracs though. Unfortunately due to the budget I just sprang for the stock BFG M/Ts. $470 for five tires (and I had to pay tax to) including the rebate that ends today (ordered from Discount Tire Direct of course).
